Let's try vegemite twist

If you are an Aussie, you love the taste of vegemite.  And a vegemite sandwich

is a snack to bite.

But if you are not Aussie,  it is hesitate to have vegemite, for sure.

Try this vege twist then. I have never heard of this until recently.

For a Japanese it tastes like Miso paste really.

PICO , The best milk chocolate

I like PICO ,not only it is an ORGANIC Milk Chocolate, but also the taste is fantastic.
Instead of using white sugar, it contains coconut sugar and cocoa solid 44%,
Amazingly No emulsifies,too.

Thumbs up! Made in Switzerland , no wonder.

Spring swell at Bronte

At High tide there were waves in good shape breaking right outside near the rock,
Boys were charging so well.

Fast waves and a series of bomb sets was like 5 ft....

It was a hard and challenging session.

Indian curry NallaManam and Cafe Northshore in Osaka

The curry  shop we were to meet was closed , so with a bit of mess finally we reached NallaManam  near Kitahama station.  It is a tiny shop but the curry was so good, the taste brought me to India and Sri Lanka..
For a desert , hanging around there we took a seat in Northshore where is famous for a California style pancake.

The Best Yurine (lily bulb)Mont Blanc cake in Sapporo at Casserole

I tried many Yurine Mont Blnc Cake in Sapporo, but this one is exceptional.
It is small but you never get dissapointed.
Top part is Yurine cream which is smoothes , not heavy cream taste and mild texture.
As you scoop by a fork,  maccha(green tea) cream appears.  And this maccha bitterness blend well
with Yurine cream.  Then! Anko (red bean paste) comes up.
You might think "oh this sounds quite heavy and sweet" , if you doubt what I say, try this out first!

Coffee tastes great!!  Yurine Mont Blanc is ¥420, with coffe $770

Ecorinmura( ecoish village) has sheeps, alpacas ,buffaloes , fun animal park, also flower garden, vege garden. It's property is huge.
Rakudaken is one of two restaurants features Pasta and Pizza.

We arrived here just before lunch time!!
Margarita and four cheese pizza  with honey.  Eh! Honey on pizza!?
One of the cheese is blue cheese and putting honey on blue cheese makes a taste mild.
Surprisingly this is a good blend.

Amazing, this tomato tree is from one seed of tomato.

Delicious, grape parfait petit.

Hakodate surf trip 3

yBeautiful beautiful day, our early morning started bathing at Ishida hot springs , then headed to Menagawa surf spot. Though waves were small and the water was cold because of the river flows into the ocean,  It was a good start of the day.

We stopped at Todohokke to have tea and checking the waves.  But it didn't appeal to me so
we stayed for a while and hit the road to Shikabe.

In two days  we had two Ramen session..both were so good and very unique flavour.....

   Todohokke

    Karamiso Ramen ,chilly miso. ¥850

Shikabe ramen ,full of seafood, good value ¥980

Rokkatei Iced Marusei butter sand

Marusei butter sand is one of the number one hit at Rokkai Tei sweets.
Always I buy this butter sand and every time it gives me a happy moment.
But! This iced one is new to me, so I had to try.
Rum raisins in butter cream with thin cookie walls tasted so refreshed and delicious.
Thin cookie is better than the original thick cookie.

Lake Toya trip

Traveling just 2.5hrs from Sapporo, Nonokaze shuttle bus brought us to Lake Toya.
Lake Toya is a volcanic caldera lake formed about 20,000 years ago.
Its meaning is in the mountain and lake by the Ainu.

Our room had a hot springs bath with a lake view which was very private and relaxed.
The restaurant provided local vegetables , meats and seafoods for dinner and breakfast.

The fire works is held every day at 8:45 between May to Oct.
Watching fire works from a bath tub was something special!

Actually this trip was dedicated to my mum but Sheep and Baah joined us for fun!

Anyway there are so many beautiful looking foods everywhere, I cannot but everything but
My eyes can taste each of them.

Avocado, green soy bean and potato salad,¥380 per100g

Otaru is surely a historically very important city, there so many building built in Meiji era and
these are registered as heritage.
Otaru  attracted Sapporo people for the original glass products called Kitaichi Glass about 40years ago. Walking around Otaru canal , drop in a funky style cafes and Kitaichi was really cool those days.

Now Otaru is very popular for Asian tourists than Domestic tourists , I can tell.
Just 30min. from Sapporo by rapid train, it is not bad to visit there for the food and touristic attraction.

Ankake yakisoba( sea food starch sauce fried noodle) is very famous to eat in Otaru
